I am honored to invite you to participate in the American Legion Forest Hills Post Memorial Weekend Parade on Sunday. The opening ceremony is at 11 a.m., and the Parade will march at 12 p.m. from the Post on Metropolitan Ave.

For over 60 years, our community has had a tradition during Memorial Day Weekend to honor our local veterans and all Servicemembers who sacrificed for our freedom. Last year, over 60 Queens organizations marched with our Fleet Week military participants. I now extend the opportunity to you to be part of this patriotic event by having your organization march in the Parade. As our Parade is privately funded by our Post, we also accept donations to help us raise upwards of $20,000 to pay for the Parade costs.
