About Beatdown Saints

Beatdown Saints is an explosive hard-rocking Americana jam band from Seattle, WA, combining classic rock-and-roll with an improvisational spirit. With influences from classic American bands like The Black Crowes, Grateful Dead, and Gov't Mule, Beatdown Saints create an unforgettable live experience, consisting of their own original music and artful covers performed in Beatdown Saints' signature style.

The band comprises Mike Setzer (Magic Carpet Ride, Born to be Wild Tour) on bass and vocals, Todd Kasper (Smokin' Js, Mind, Kiki Fabulous) on drums and vocals, and the extremely talented Marc Berger on guitar and vocals.

Mike Has played all across the United States in venues of all sizes with Magic Carpet Ride and The Born to be Wild Tour (Featuring the original keyboardist of Steppenwolf, Goldy McJohn), and he's shared the stage with Mike Pinera (Blues Image, Iron Butterfly, Alice Cooper), Jack Russell (Great White), Johnny Stachela (Allman Betts Band), and Nelson.

Todd has played events all over the Pacific Northwest with the Smokin' Js and was a founding member of the band Mind (with local bass hero Keith Lowe.) Todd has also been known to drum for Stonesy (Rolling Stones tribute) from time to time.
Marc is the insanely talented guitarist whose idea it was to form Beatdown Saints.

About Sonny Hess
Fiery rhythm & blues

Known far and wide for her sensual guitar playing, songwriting gifts and soulful vocals, local blues legend Sonny Hess fires up shows around town performing in a variety of forms and combinations - solo, in duos, full bands, and as part of the venerable NW Women Rhythm & Blues, which may include fellow blueswomen Lady Kat, Duffy Bishop and many more. Named Outstanding R&B Act and Best New Artist when the Sonny Hess Power Band appeared in 1991, Hess has brought her particular brand of the blues to northwest audiences for nearly two decades. She's also been a serious supporter of fellow artists, producing the NW Women R&B shows and playing regularly with Ellen Whyte (as part of the duo Jane Doe), Leah Hinchcliff, and Lisa Mann.

About Oompah Machine
Oompah music

The Oompah Machine was formed in the wake of a disastrous flood that saw both an accordion and a tuba washed up onto the lawn. We put off learning how to play as long as we could. But the tuba only has three buttons, so how hard can it be, really? Same with that other horn the lady plays - is there a name for that thing? It's not a trombone, right? Turns out you can fake playing accordion pretty convincingly by watching videos online. You just, like, squeeze it in and move your hand back and forth on the keyboard looking part, and then sorta un-squeeze it back out.

So now we tour extensively, stumbling our way through beer halls and beer tents and biergartens all around this great land. Audiences are reliably drunk, so no one seems to notice we're no good, and we never have to ask for a recommendation letter. What's not to love? If it all comes crashing down around us some day, well, it's been a great ride. Meantime, can I use 2 drink tickets for a pitcher? Prost!
