A gala to celebrate 37 years of making connections for the Autism community and our Executive Director, Laurie Cramer, who is leaving at the end of the year.
The Autism Society of Greater Akron (ASGA) is our community's leading organization, empowering local individuals and families living with Autism and other developmental disabilities with support and education, community inclusion, and advocacy. Core services include HelpLine, a Free service for community members seeking information and resources related to Autism; Health & Safety courses such as Bike Camp and Swim Camp; Education; Support; Adapted Community Events, such as the North Pole Adventure and Fishing with Stark Parks; Training; Advocacy; and Awareness. Last year, we created connections for more than 33,000 individuals and families living with Autism who reside in our five-county service area: Summit, Stark, Medina, Portage and Wayne. The 2024 Fall Gala will bring together individuals who support ASGA and the Autism community to honor Executive Director Laurie Cramer for her 20 years of service to the organization as she steps down at the end of the year. We will also recognize 37 years of ASGA serving Individuals and families affected by Autism, educating, advocating, and creating a world where everyone in the Autism community is connected to the support they need, when they need it. All funds raised stay in the area to serve the local Autism community. This is an incredibly special event for ASGA, and we hope you will consider donating to our auction. We appreciate your consideration and hope you will support the local Autism community and this especially important cause.
