Join us November 9th, 2024 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Carbondale's UFO Sighting!

We are excited to announce that the inaugural Carbondalien Festival will be held in Downtown Carbondale and nearby Russell Park on November 9, 2024.

The event is expected to draw significant numbers of tourists from near and far. Guests arriving early to Carbondale will have an opportunity to participate in a self-guided mapped tour of creatively interpreted 6-foot aliens displayed around the city leading up to the main event. On November 9th, there will be dozens of vendors in The Landing Pad in our Downtown Business District.

The event will feature music, a marketplace, guided tours of the actual landing site, food and fun for Earthlings and their extraterrestrial friends of all ages! We know this will be an out-of-this-world event sure to become an annual tradition in the Pioneer City.
