The 'Small Mall' is for children between the ages of 3 and 13 years old to do their own holiday shopping within a controlled setting.  The 'Small Mall' will be held on SAT. Dec. 7th., 9 AM to 5 PM and Sun. Dec. 8th, 10 AM to 4 PM.  Children love this event as it allows them to select something they think their loved ones would want without the presence of a parent and it comes from the heart.

For the first time shoppers and parents it is important to know what to expect so our 'Head Elf' explains the process.  Prior to entering the shopping area, a gift list is completed by the parent with names, ages and dollar amount for each gift.  The gifts are $5 or $7 each and prepaid.  A volunteer elf escorts the child with the gift list into the shopping area where the gifts are arranged according to category and price. 

For the shopper it can be exciting and overwhelming trying to make a decision on that perfect gift.  For women, jewelry is popular along with scarves, candles and so much more.  For dad, grandpa or an uncle, the hardest to buy for, there are tools, calendars and desk accessories to name a few.  For the sweet tooth, there are sweets and baking gift sets.  Not to be overlooked, there are gifts for teens as well as children's toys, books and stuffed animals for the siblings.

Once the shopping is completed, the gifts are wrapped, labeled and ready to be placed under the tree.  To complete their shopping experience each child receives a free ride on the 1913 carousel, (Photo Op) a bag of Magic Reindeer Food,  movies and access to The Kid's Craft Corner to make awesome ornaments.
