Burton Cummings

Few artists have achieved the level of public success and critical acclaim that Burton Cummings enjoys in a career spanning more than sixty years.

Burton’s voice has been rated among the finest in rock music.   As lead singer and songwriter with the original The Guess Who, Burton recorded and wrote/co-wrote hits such as “These Eyes,” “Laughing,” “No Time,” “American Woman,” “Share the Land,” “Hand Me Down World,” “Albert Flasher”, “Star Baby”, “Clap for The Wolfman,” and “No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature”. As a solo artist, he leaves his mark with the poignant “Stand Tall,” “I’m Scared,” “You Saved My Soul,” and his signature “My Own Way to Rock”.

With the original "The Guess Who", he earned recognition for the first U.S. platinum album by a Canadian artist and, as a solo artist, the first quadruple platinum Canadian-produced album. Burton is honored to have received, in total, 80 platinum and gold record awards. Recently, the best-selling book The 100 Top Canadian Singles ranked “American Woman” the greatest Canadian single of all time.

As the voice of the classic Guess Who’s hits before the band broke up in 1975, to then go on and make his mark as a solo artist, Burton Cummings remains at the top of his game as an unrivaled singer, songwriter, showman, and recording artist.  Described as Canadian rock ‘n’ roll royalty, a national treasure, and a living legend, for Burton Cummings there has always been one constant: he remains true to himself and his own way to rock…and continuing to perform the songs the way they were originally conceived by the artist who sang and wrote/co-wrote them.

Vince Converse and big brother

Vince Converse and Big Brother deliver gritty, guitar-driven blues with a twist of funk, channeling legends like BB King, Albert King, Freddie King, and Albert Collins. Originally a Texas bluesman, Converse captivates with bold guitar licks, intoxicating slide, and timeless solos. The band's chemistry blends rock, jazz, soul, southern country, and Latin sounds, creating a unique blues experience.

Vince Converse's career began with international tours straight out of high school with the band, Sunset Heights. After a mid-career hiatus, Vince is back and stronger than ever, leading Vince Converse and Big Brother with a distinct sound and powerful stage presence; making him a standout in the Denver blues scene.

Converse has worked with industry icons like Pete Brown and Eddie Kramer, opened for legends such as BB King, Joe Bonamassa, and Eric Clapton, and performed at iconic venues including Red Rocks Amphitheater, Cynthia Woods Pavilion, and The Fillmore West. Recently, his band won the Colorado Blues Society competition and reached the semi-finals in Memphis, Tennessee.

Toadstool Jamboree

Toadstool Jamboree was the house band for sweaty bars, outdoor festivals, mountain bike races, homecoming dances and proms, and lots of other good timey events from 1994-2003. Their mix of catchy and danceable originals combined with beloved covers from the Grateful Dead, Sublime, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, and others made a Toadstool set the perfect soundtrack to most any Black Hills party. There have been a handful of reunion shows but last summer’s constantly morphing mini-tour, the first full reunion in over 13 years, culminated in three incredibly memorable and jam-packed shows in August in Rapid City, Spearfish and Deadwood.
