Summer in the City of Glen Cove is filled with live music. Downtown Sounds has been providing live music in downtown Glen Cove for more than 25 years. Concerts start at 7:30 p.m. in Village Square every Friday. Get ready for another summer of dancing in the streets with an incredible lineup of artists in 2025.

The Seismatics perform a unique mix of powerful great rock and roll from the classics to modern. And every song has been chosen to make you want to get up and dance and sing along. Expect to hear songs by David Bowie, Aerosmith, The Cure, Tom Petty, Modern English, The Beatles, Simple Minds, The Doors, and more.

Drummer and vocalist Mark Pohl has been honored to play opening sets for rock and roll legends ZZTop, Robert Gordon, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, The Moving Sidewalks, Cherry Poppin’ Daddies and Lisa Marie Presley. Members Michael Schmidt and Paul Brokaw both write and produce original songs that have been licensed for film, television, and broadcast radio, and published in over 36 countries around the world.
