In this show of all new work, Chesapeake Bay oil painter Freeman Dodsworth captures and interprets scenes, ranging from intimate moments of home life to the wild vistas of sea, field and sky found only here on the Chesapeake Bay. Painting from life in the field, around his home or in the studio, Dodsworth pauses and explores the moments that catch his eye and spark his interest. If they hold his attention and invite him to engage in conversation, he commits them to canvas. The result is an impressive portfolio, illustrating a life spent at home and in the field with affection and respect for both subject and medium.
