Freddy Jones Band 2025: Celebrating New Single “No Money In Vegas”, 30 Years Of “North Avenue Wakeup Call” And 10 Years Of “Never Change”
The Freddy Jones Band marks a milestone year in 2025, celebrating two major anniversaries: the 30th anniversary of their groundbreaking album North Avenue Wakeup Call (1995) and the 10th anniversary of Never Change (2015). These albums, both produced by the multi-Grammy-winning Justin Neibank, are cherished by fans for their lasting impact. Reflecting on Never Change, Neibank shared, “Never Change is the best record I’ve worked on in years!” The band is also celebrating the release of their latest single, “No Money in Vegas,” which highlights a return to the iconic Laurel Canyon sound. This track, recorded in the Hollywood Hills, pairs the Freddy Jones Band’s signature style with the talent of Grammy award-winning producer JJ Blair to create a timeless addition to their catalog.
…(And for the record, there’s no one in the band named Freddy Jones)!
To commemorate these milestones, the Freddy Jones Band will embark on a special anniversary tour in 2025, performing fan favorites like “In a Daydream,” “Take the Time,” “Waitress,” and “Hold on to Midnight,” as well as standout tracks from their latest EP, EP23, including “Mirror Ball” and “Connected.” The tour will also celebrate the enduring legacy of “In a Daydream” on its 30th anniversary, a song that remains a cornerstone of the band’s distinctive sound.
At the heart of the Freddy Jones Band is founding member Marty Lloyd, the creative force behind their most iconic hit, “In a Daydream.” Marty’s unwavering dedication to the band is legendary—he’s missed just one show in the band’s 33-year history, a testament to his passion and commitment to the music. Joining him is bassist Rich Ross, who has a wealth of experience from his time with The Samples and met Marty in 2001 before teaming up with him in 2015. Rich’s extensive background in management has played an essential role in the band’s continued growth and independence. Now fully independent, the Freddy Jones Band enjoys the creative freedom to chart their own course, without the constraints of a major label.
Throughout their career, the Freddy Jones Band has shared the stage with acts like Big Head Todd & The Monsters, The Wallflowers, Blues Traveler, Dave Matthews Band, Widespread Panic, Sheryl Crow, Sister Hazel, Train, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many more.
