Join Champlain Area Trails in working on the trails at Essex Quarry Nature Preserve in Essex, New York. We will walk around a mile clearing the trails in preparation for the Piano Concert. There is a variety of trail work for this project, including pulling invasive plants, lopping and clearing up the trail, and some handsawing.

We will work with loppers, hand saws, and string trimmers, which Champlain Area Trails can provide. Feel free to bring your tools as well. Make sure to bring gloves, protective eye gear (if using a string trimmer), water, and some snacks!

Essex Quarry Nature Preserve is 1/2 mile south of the blinking light in Essex. There is limited parking. If the lot is full, please park at the Essex Ferry Parking. This also makes it easier to swing by and grab a sweet treat after trail work! Click here for Google Maps directions.
