Come join us for the tenth annual Rotary Club of Highlands Twilight 5K!  5k will be fun for the whole family, strollers welcome, walkers welcome, yet will be challenging for experienced runners. T-shirt guaranteed if registered by July 17th 2024. We will order extra shirts after that date, which will be first come first serve.  One free beer for everyone of age who crosses the finish line provided by the Ugly Dog Pub.  Light up gift for the kids!!  There will be a rock concert following the race for runners, family and friends. so bring your blankets, coolers, chairs, etc. Awards presented to overall top male and female, top Masters(5k), Grand Masters(5k), Senior Grand Masters(5k) and top 3 finishers in each 5 yr age division. $100.00 for anyone beating the course record (16:59).  $50.00 for anyone setting a new age category record.  Kids under 5 run for free. Kids under 10 are $10.00. This is the premier 5k event in beautiful Highlands NC.  Come race and spend the weekend in our beautiful town.  USATF certified 5K COURSE NC16004DW. Early packet pickup Friday August 16th from 4-6 at Highlands Recreation Park.

Race is on Saturday August 17th, 2024 starting at 6PM at the Kelsey Hutchinson Founders Park. The 5K course is undulating, beginners or walkers will find it friendly, yet the faster runners will be challenged. Registration and check-in will start at 4:00 pm. Early packet pickup Friday, August 16th from 4-6 pm at Highlands Recreation Park. Please allow enough time to get checked in. Parking will be available around the Kelsey Hutchinson Park, Highlands Recreation Park, Highlands Ball-field, and Highlands Post Office.  Rarely above 80 degrees in summer. Always cool in the evening. Get out of the heat! This is your opportunity to come to "cool" Highlands NC and run on the plateau. Kids under 5 run 5K for free. Kids 5 to 9 $10.00 for 5K.  Day of race price will be $40.00 for 5K, so sign up early.
