What better way for the B&O to celebrate the holidays than with trains! On select days November through December, come to the Museum to see festive model train layouts, enjoy the holiday decor, get photos with Santa, take a ride on the Reindeer Railway, and so much more!

Santa's Winter Village
Nestled in the B&O's spacious Roundhouse, Santa's Winter Village is a holiday wonderland with lots of festive fun for your little ones! Visitors to Santa's Winter Village will get to write letters to Santa, color wooden train ornaments, build a snowman figurine, and more!

Holiday Model Layouts
Enjoy the classic holiday tradition of model trains by coming to see our festive O Scale layout in the Roundhouse, as well our Bank of America Model Train Gallery, G Scale Outdoor Train Garden, and HO Scale model layout.

The Polar express Train Ride

Climb aboard The Polar Express for a Christmas memory you'll cherish forever! Dressed in your pajamas, kick off this two-hour immersive experience with a live performance of the Hot Chocolate song and dance, and receive the First Gift of Christmas, a silver sleigh bell, from Santa!
