Independence Day Celebration - Fireworks

Independence Day fireworks display is scheduled for Wednesday, beginning at 9:30 p.m. at Community Park. The show is expected to last approximately 25 minutes. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to this family-friendly event to view a spectacular aerial show in celebration of Independence Day!

Spectators are encouraged to walk or bike to Community Park as parking is limited. Event attendees can park for FREE in the commuter parking lots (off Front Street and Main Street in Downtown Lisle), on Garfield Avenue near PrairieWalk Pond, off Burlington Avenue near Village Hall, in the Village Hall parking lot, and the trackside lot just east of Village Hall. The Lisle Junior High School lot will also have parking available. Other than handicap parking on the north side of Lisle Senior High School, accessible via Yackley Avenue ONLY (must have appropriate placard or license plates), there is NO public parking on site, except for the Riverview parking lot across from the police station on the south side of Short Street and Riverview Drive, accessible via Route 53 until the lot is full. A ride share pick up and drop off area is designated at the Lisle Park District's Recreation Center (1925 Ohio Street).

Prior to the fireworks display, a series of live outdoor concerts will take place at the Lisle Park District's Van Kampen Stage. To learn more, visit the Lisle Park District's website.

5:30-7:00 p.m. - Junkyard Groove - Rock, country, blues, funk and soul

7:30-9:00 p.m. - Fletcher Rockwell - Classic Americana-tinged Rock and Roll
