Join us for Kyle’s first-ever City Fest, We’re inviting the entire Kyle Community to this inaugural, free, city-sponsored event, where residents can listen to the annual State of the City address delivered by Mayor Travis Mitchell, and learn more about various city departments, resources, and services while having a whole lot of fun.
This fall-themed event has fun for the whole family! Including live music from 90s country cover band All Hat No Cadillac and Yesenia McNett & The Groove Doctors, food and drink vendors, including a beer vendor, a chili cook-off with Peoples Choice Judging while supplies last, a cornhole tournament, college football on the big screen, a free pumpkin patch (limited to 1 per person while supplies last), face-painting, and of course the amenities La Verde Park has to offer like the one-of-kind playground, volleyball courts, and green space.
Cornhole Tournament Schedule:
2 p.m. - Event Begins
2:30 p.m. - Cornhole Tournament Begins (Teams must arrive by 2 p.m.) 2-3 p.m. - DJ Roland
3-3:45 p.m. - Yesenia McNett & The Groove Doctors
3 -4:30 p.m. - Chili Cook Off Peoples Choice Judging, while supplies last
4 - 4:45 p.m. - State of the City Address with Mayor Travis Mitchell
5 - 6 p.m. - All Hat No Cadillac
Chili Cook-off Schedule:
11 a.m.- Chili Cookoff competitors arrive
11:45 a.m. - Chili Cookoff cooking begins
2 p.m. - City Fest Event Begins
2:45 p.m. - Chili Cookoff Judges arrive
3-3:30 p.m. - Chili submission to judges
3-4:30 p.m. - Chili Cookoff Peoples Choice Judging
6 p.m. - City Fest event Ends
