Join us for Animal Architects at the Maryland Zoo, where you’ll take on the role of a Zoo engineer! This hands-on design challenge invites you to put your problem-solving skills to the test as you create innovative solutions to real-world challenges faced by our animal friends.

From designing habitats that mimic natural environments to crafting enrichment tools that support our zoo keepers and keep animals active and engaged, you’ll learn how science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) come together to support wildlife conservation. Perfect for budding engineers, nature enthusiasts, and curious minds of all ages, this interactive workshop is your chance to understand how modern Zoos provide top-notch animal care and work to conserve wildlife around the world.
