Hope everybody had a great weekend! It is hard to believe that this scouting year and the school year are coming to a close. Each Memorial Day weekend, Pack 887 helps the Naperville American Legion place flags at the grave sites of veterans. This will take place at Naperville Cemetery on Saturday May 24th, with flag placement beginning around 9AM (please arrive early). Have scouts dressed in Class A uniforms, this is a somber event to honor the veterans that served and will provide many opportunities for the scouts to demonstrate reverence. As everybody knows, the weather can be somewhat unpredictable so be prepared with sun screen, water, bug spray and any other items that may be useful for the day as the activity does typically last several hours. Restrooms are somewhat scarce at the cemetery as well. There is no cost for this activity and attending scouts will earn service hours for their participation.

Event Time: Arrive by 8:45 AM to park and find the pack; flag placement begins at 9 AM
Event Duration: This activity typically lasts several hours likely wrapping up between 11 AM and 12 PM.
