The Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony features veterans groups, military units, the Fairfield High School Marching Band, community groups and organizations, the Fairfield Police Department, and Fairfield Fire and Paramedic units.
A band will perform patriotic music and other favorites at Veterans Memorial Park before the ceremony that pays tribute to those veterans that gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Guest speakers included representatives from local veterans groups and City of Fairfield Mayor, Mitch Rhodus.by American Legion Post 336. To be part of the parade, please contact Bob Horvath at 440-463-8039 or [email protected].
The parade will start promptly at 10 a.m.
- The route begins at Express Scripts and proceeds down Hicks Blvd.
- Takes a right on Nilles Rd.
- Left on Bibury Rd.
- Right on Wessel Dr. and ends at Veterans Memorial Park, 701 Wessel Dr.
Ceremony: At the conclusion of the parade, we encourage units to attend the Veteran’s Memorial for our special ceremony (at approximately 11 a.m.).
