I begin with a strong idea of light and composition, but weather and life are always in motion, and my painting often evolves with the changes occurring around me. Alison Barry is an oil painter dedicated to painting directly from life, still life and landscape. She paints in all seasons and weather, by the farms, rivers and bay around her Southern Maryland home. She has participated in numerous exhibitions and plein air events for more than a decade of being a professional painter.
