The Race for Equal Justice 5k will return in Fall 2024! The race is organized by the Equal Justice Foundation (EJF), a student-run 501(c)(3) non-profit at George Washington Law School that empowers students to pursue opportunities in the public and nonprofit sectors. As these positions are often unpaid, GW EJF supports public interest students and encourages law students to take jobs with mission-driven organizations by raising funds to provide them with crucial stipends. GW EJF relies on fundraisers like The Race to provide as many public interest stipends as possible. Thank you for your support!
The 2024 Race for Equal Justice will be a 5k (3.1-mile) run along the C&O Canal and Potomac River in Northwest DC. The course is a completely flat out-and-back on a dirt and gravel towpath. Participants are welcome to sprint, jog, or walk the course. After the 5k, there will be raffle awards, lawn games, and a free meal for all participants!
Registration will close at 5 pm on Friday, September 27th! There will be NO day-of-race registration or shirt sales due to National Park Service rules. Since we do not hold registration fees, we cannot offer refunds for this charity event. The race will be held rain or shine!
