The State Fair of Texas is the most Texan place on earth, and nothing is more Texan then having fun! On any given day, there are tons of family-friendly activities and exhibits, all FREE with your admission ticket. Here are some of the new, enhanced, and returning attractions for this year’s Fair!
Midway
Step right up.
The State Fair Midway features more than 70 rides including the Thrillway, the Kidway, the iconic 212-ft. Texas Star® Ferris wheel, the 500-ft. Top o’ Texas Tower, and the 1914 Dentzel Carousel - not to mention enough Midway games to keep you entertained for hours!
A few things to know before you head to the State Fair of Texas Midway:
State Fair Food & Midway Coupons are used to pay for Midway rides and games. Coupons may be purchased at coupon booths located throughout the fairgrounds, or in advance online.
The Kidway area of the Midway caters to young fairgoers, featuring rides suitable for children two years of age and older.
While visiting the Midway, don’t forget to stop by the Errol McKoy Greenhouse on the Midway and enjoy music, family-friendly activities, and the Big Tex Urban Farms.

The State Fair of Texas is a celebration of all things Texan - including its rich livestock and agriculture heritage. Every day of the Fair there is an array of fun and educational livestock adventures to be enjoyed by guests of all ages. Discover all there is to see and experience below and don’t forget, all Fairgoers are welcome to tour the livestock barns. Texas-sized Creativity
The Creative Arts Building is a showcase of Lone Star arts, crafts, culinary creations, and performing arts. Visit the building to view this year’s ribbon winners in our annual Creative Arts Contests, see things heat up in the Community Coffee Competition Kitchen, marvel at the quirky mini butter sculpture, or learn cooking tips from the pros in the Cutco Celebrity Kitchen.

Rich in History
Fair Park, a National Historic Landmark and site of the 1936 Texas Centennial Exhibition, is home to some of Dallas’ best museums, educational discovery centers, and the world’s largest collection of Art Deco exhibit buildings, art, and sculptures. While at the Fair Park during the State Fair of Texas, be sure to visit one of the many points of interest located in the historic 277-acre park.

Nestled in the middle of Fair Park sits the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium, home to the iconic Red River Rivalry, State Fair Classic, and many other gridiron games.
The State Fair of Texas welcomes football fans to the Cotton Bowl for Saturdays of exciting college football.

The Thrill of the Rodeo in Fair Park
This isn’t our first rodeo, per say, but it is all-new for the 2024 Fair! Home of the 1959 Original National Finals Rodeo, we are proud to bring a rodeo back to the historic Fair Park Coliseum this year - and each rodeo is FREE with your admission ticket to the Fair. From high-energy bull riding to wild cow milking, you won’t want to miss the Rodeo on your visit to the Fair this year. Presented by United Ag & Turf, the State Fair of Texas Rodeo will take place each weekend of the Fair during the evening.
