Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor star in this wild comedy as two best friends who are prison for a crime they didn't commit. Skip, an out of work playwright, and his equally luckless buddy Harry, an unemployed actor, believe going West will improve their fortunes. Instead, they’re framed for a bank robbery and sentenced to a long stay in a Western prison, where these Easterners are truly fish out of water. Their attempts to make the best of the worst situation are totally outrageous, but then, so are they. This reteaming of Wilder and Pryor, first seen together in Silver Streak (1976), is a riot of a buddy movie.
