From a 2029 war-torn wasteland, two soldiers from opposing factions are sent back in time to 1984 Los Angeles in order to influence the outcome of a conflict that hasn't yet taken place. One is an unstoppable cyborg assassin (Arnold Schwarzenegger), the other a human guerrilla fighter (Michael Biehn). They share the same target: Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), an unsuspecting young woman whose unborn child will become the key to saving mankind.
