The Witch of Blackbird Pond Ball returns to the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center (200 Main Street, Wethersfield) on Saturday, October 26th from 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm. Wethersfield native and media figure Renee DiNino is back as mistress of ceremonies. Renee has the requisite skills to keep the festivities rolling all night long. A professional DJ has been engaged to provide the evening’s soundtrack, guaranteed to get you up and dancing, with more than a passing nod to some Halloween classics. The Vintage Dance Society is back to provide inspiration on the dance floor and show us all how it’s done. The Ball features local refreshments, music, dancing, cocktails, mocktails,  potions, and other spellbinding activities! Attendees are invited to come in costume, but it’s not a requirement. (That being said, many attendees who came in street clothes said “next year, I’m coming in costume”). Those who do are automatically entered in the costume contest. Ascot Catering is already under contract to bring their delectable hors d’oeuvres. Uniquely crafted libations are being created specifically for this event. The desserts will be truly magical.

Two drinks are included with admission to this 21-and-over event and a cash bar will be available for those who are still thirsty. Proceeds go to support WHS’ educational programming. Tickets for this exclusive 21-and-over event are $75 per person and are on sale now. For the truly adventurous, there are a limited number of Special Patron Hour Tickets which entitle the bearer to early admission at 6:30 pm for $100 per person. These patrons will enjoy uniquely prepared libations and delectable treats that are only available during this magical hour. A 20% discount is available on all tickets to current Wethersfield Historical Society members. Please email the office at [email protected] for details. Tickets can be purchased on EventBrite or you can save the fees and purchase your tickets by cash or check in person at the Old Academy (150 Main Street, Wethersfield) Tuesday – Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. For more details about this exclusive event, visit the society’s website. The Keeney Center is handicapped accessible and offers free parking and restrooms.
