Saturday, April 19th marks the 250th anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord that kicked off the Revolutionary War. Wethersfield Historical Society commemorates this anniversary with two special Revolutionary War themed tours to be given on this date. At 10:00 am, WHS’ volunteer research librarian Martha Smart leads a tour of the Ancient Burying Ground focusing on the stories of the Revolutionary War veterans buried there. Tours begin at the front desk of the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center (200 Main Street, Wethersfield) gathering 15 minutes before the posted start times. Tours last approximately 60-90 minutes. Admission is $10 per person for each tour to the General Public. Wethersfield Historical Society members receive free admission to both tours.
