Saturday, April 19th marks the 250th anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord that kicked off the Revolutionary War. Wethersfield Historical Society commemorates this anniversary with two special Revolutionary War themed tours to be given on this date. At 1:00 pm, Museum Educator Gillie Johnson leads a Revolutionary War Walking Tour. On this tour, participants travel approximately 1 mile around Main, Marsh, Broad, and Garden Streets and learn about some of the people and sites in town that played a pivotal role in the Revolutionary War. Tours begin at the front desk of the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center (200 Main Street, Wethersfield) gathering 15 minutes before the posted start times. Tours last approximately 60-90 minutes. Admission is $10 per person for each tour to the General Public. Wethersfield Historical Society members receive free admission to both tours.
