Feeding Families Foundation charitable organization working to eliminate hospital food insecurity for parents of hospitalized children. Feeding Families Foundation's Parent Plate Program addresses food affordability and accessibility issues parents often face when caring for their child in the hospital by covering the cost of caregiver meals and by having those meals delivered to the room, so parents do not need to leave their child's bedside or spend money on food when their child is inpatient. The Program launched at the end of January 2024 and has provided over 3,000 meals to date. Feeding Families Foundation also provides cakes for birthday celebrations in the hospital, snacks, and restaurant food catering 5-6 times a month for those families staying in the hospital with their child. Golf Classic: Fore! Parents of Hospitalized Children" at Golf Cove in North Haven. Teams of at least 4 players will play 9-hole scramble. Tickets for golfers are $100 per person. Tickets for supporters not playing in the event are $65 per person. Open bar and food is provided for the duration of the event, as well as a raffle. This year will also feature a kids program from 9am-11am and is open to children in treatment at Yale Children's, children off treatment, their siblings, and friends. Chik-fil-a will be providing food and drinks. Coffee will be provided from a local coffee shop. This program is free for the children but space is limited.
