Basics of the Event

The 100-mile or 140-mile bike event presented by Inside-Out Sports will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2023. The ride will begin in Benson, NC. Riders will depart at 8:30 a.m. and follow roads through rural North Carolina. The route, almost exclusively on 421, will end in historic downtown Wilmington, NC. 

All riders must complete the 100-mile or 140-mile route and check in at the finish line by 5:30 p.m. (9 hours after the start). Riders will be able to meet this schedule if they average at least a 14 mph pace and stop for no more than 1 hour and 25 minutes throughout the ride. A support vehicle will remove riders from the course that are unable to complete it in the designated time.

Food and refreshments will be provided before the ride, at 2 water stops, and at the conclusion of the ride. A post-event party at Waterline Brewing Company will have a free beer for all event participants!

We have also added a 2-Person Relay Team option so you can buddy up and split the ride in half (and also have a ride back home). More information on the 2-Person Relay Team can be found at the bottom of this email.
