Community family-friendly event features Euro Classic Car Show, live music, beer garden, and more

HICKORY, NC – Hickory Museum of Art’s 11th Annual Autolawn Euro Classic Car Show returns to the SALT Block Lawn. The Autolawn Party is an outdoor celebration of the road’s number one traveler – the automobile. This European Classic Car Show is unique in its size and scale, featuring no more than 80 entrants. The goal is to showcase a diverse range of high-quality, original vehicles in an intimate, informal setting, free from the pressures of traditional Concours events.

Each year, Autolawn highlights a different theme or brand. This year’s theme, Totally 80’s, celebrates Hickory Museum of Art’s 80^th Anniversary and spotlights vehicles from the 1980s. However, all Euro makes, models, and years are welcome to register! The event is open to the public, and spectator admission is free, with an opportunity for attendees to vote for their favorite classic car. Proceeds from the day’s events benefit the Museum’s educational programming.

The celebration is centered around a European classic car show for the automotive enthusiast, but it’s far more than that. There’s something fun for everyone! The festivities include: Car Show, Live Music from The Munroze Band, a beer garden, art exhibitions, kid’s art activities, and Food Trucks featuring Bam’s Sandwich Bistro, Urban Flavor, Village Inn Pizza, and Wholey Cow.

In the 50/50 Drawing, the winning ticket holder will receive 50% of the ticket sales. Tickets are available for $5 each or 5 for $20. Additionally, don't miss the chance to enter the Porsche Driving Experience raffle – the ultimate day for any driving enthusiast in Atlanta, GA! Winners will enjoy driving a Porsche with a professional driving coach. Porsche Driving Experience tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100.

Tickets for both raffles can be purchased at the raffle table or from staff members. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.

Awards will be given in a small number of peer-judged classifications and select categories. Entry classifications include Best German, Best Italian, Best British, Other European Makes, European Motorcycles, and Best in Theme (Totally 80’s). Spectators will also have the chance to vote for the People’s Choice Award. Voting will take place between 10 AM – 1:30 PM, with one ballot per person. The Autolawn Party Awards Ceremony will begin at 2 PM. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place in each class with a minimum of three entrants. Awards will also be given to Hagerty Youth Judged Best in Show and Overall Best in Show.
