Join Our Celebration With Fun Activities, Music, And Much More!

Join us for weekly FREE special events!

June 3-6: Juggler Ron Anglin “One of a Kindness” - Songs, stories, and juggling tricks!
June 10-13: Wayne Curtis and the Mobile Alabama Africatown Drummers - A hands on introduction to polyrhythm, timing, and listening while learning African and Afro Caribbean rhythms and their impact on popular music.
June 17, 18 & 20: Librarian’s Special - Most libraries will have a unique program this week.
June 24-27: Puppets N' Banjos with David Stephens - Meet Chubbly the puppet and enjoy banjo sing-a-longs!
July 3-6: Librarian’s Special - Most libraries will have a unique program this week.
July 8-12: Mobile Environmental Studies Center’s Wildlife of Mobile Road Show - Learn about the wonders of Mobile’s local animals!
July 15-18: Excelsior Band - Mobile’s favorite Mardi Gras band will perform songs and share jazz history.
July 22-25: Deborah Ferguson: The Dancing Story Lady - Professional storytelling featuring African songs and dancing.

Read all together this summer! Log your reading to win prizes!

Read for 400 minutes and receive a small reading prize and an entry into the grand prize drawing for a camping set or movie tickets. Earn another prize drawing entry each time you complete 400 minutes of reading! Attend a library event to get extra entries.

Minutes can be tracked on our paper logs available at any Mobile Public Library location or print your own (ChildrenTeenAdult). You can also report your minutes by earning badges on our Beanstack reading challenge App!  We will start accepting completed logs on June 3.
