22nd Annual Storybook Festival

Arts and Entertainment

November 2, 2023

From: Davie Storybook Festival

The theme for this year's StoryBook Festival is "Heroes, Myths and Legends: A Quest Through Stories."  Geared toward children ages 10 and under, the festival provides a magical experience that encourages a love of reading and libraries through presentations by award-winning storytellers and literature-based performance groups. It is also an exciting way for the community to learn about Broward County Library's vast array of free programs and resources for all ages.

Families can meet Christopher Eliopoulos, author/illustrator of The Yawns Are Coming! and illustrator of the New York Times bestselling series of picture book biographies, Ordinary People Change the World.

The fun continues with live entertainment, as kids set sail for adventure with Atlantic Coast Theatre on a voyage in search of excitement and riches. Other festival highlights include Katie Adams performing "Star Stories: Greek Myths" with colorful shadow puppets, storytelling and audience participation.

StoryBook Festival activities include:
Big Book Giveaway to the first 1,000 children
