The Milford Oyster Festival will have 30,000 oysters! All oysters harvested in Milford waters by Briarpatch Enterprises, Inc. Try the sweet taste of Milford oysters and enjoy them with a craft beer or premium wine.

The Milford Oyster Festival, sponsored by Xfinity, celebrates 50 years of FUN with a great line up of bands representing a wide range of musical genres.

The Festival welcomes Little Feat to headline the main stage on August 17, 2024. Over the past 50 years, Little Feat has used a combination of elite musicianship and brilliant songwriting to create a repertoire that transcends all boundaries. California rock, funk, jazz, country and rockabilly mixed with New Orleans swamp boogie led to a powerful sound that has kept the audience dancing for decades. From the new release , Sam's Place, to old favorites like "Dixie Chicken", "Spanish Moon", "Fat Man in the Bathtub", "Feats Don't Fail Me Now" Little Feat will be rocking MILFORD.

Compete or just come and watch experienced and novice canoe and kayak racers at the Canoe and Kayak Race located at the East Side Boat Ramp behind Milford Library.

Arts and Crafts

Each year over 200 artists and artisans set up on the green in the center for the Annual Milford Oyster Festival Arts and Crafts Show. The crafters come from many different states, with their artistic creations, to participate in one of Connecticut's largest Arts and Crafts Show.

Among the arts and crafts that are presented, you will find some of the most beautiful and artistically designed arts and crafts ever offered. Some are country, some contemporary and some traditional; some are Victorian, some Early American. Some are modern. Visitors will find things for themselves, their homes, yards, children and gifts for everyone. Whatever you are looking for, you are sure to find it. Our talented artisans display a wide variety of truly spectacular craft projects.

The Annual Milford Oyster Festival Arts and Crafts Show includes items such as jewelry; hand painted clothing for children and adults; an array of decorative items for the yard and garden; beautiful stained glass; decorative items for the home, too numerous to mention; exquisite floral arrangements; leather garments, handbags and other accessories; furniture for home and yard. If you're feeling creative we have crafters who will guide you in painting ceramics, making candles, or designing a sand sculpture. Several artisans also demonstrate their craft at the show.

The Milford Oyster Festival has some of the finest crafts people exhibiting, and we welcome them into our show. Each exhibitor has his or her own special way of creating their work - and even though two or more people may do similar crafts, the individuality and special artistic abilities of the artist/artisan makes each one's work stand out uniquely from the others.

Canoe and Kayak Race

The 50th Annual Milford Oyster Festival Canoe and Kayak Race will be held on Saturday August 17, 2024 at the Milford Boat Launch behind the Milford Public Library.

Main Street U.S.A

Main Street USA is a great way to get close to your customers. Main Street USA is located on the Green next to the Arts and Crafts and Civic Group areas. It is a great way for local businesses to reach the public with their products and services on the day of the Festival. Main Street USA generates tremendous foot traffic as Festival goers stroll through the area viewing product demonstrations, speaking directly to business owners and representatives and picking up brochures and product samples. Many businesses return year after year. Exhibitor spaces are limited and always sell out early.

Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show

Arrival time for the car show is 7:00 a.m - 9:00 am

The Milford Oyster Festival Committee invites owners of Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles to join us at Armory Square parking lot (same lot as Colony Pizza in Milford Center)
