From: Reynoldsburg Tomato FestivalThe Tomato Festival is Celebrating 58 Years Of A Time-Honored Tradition In Reynoldsburg!
The Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival has been a tradition in our city for over 50 years. The idea of the first Tomato Festival surfaced in October of 1965 when the dedication plaque was placed in front of the municipal building recognizing Alexander Livingston for his contributions to the City and declaring Reynoldsburg the birthplace of the tomato.
The first festival was held in August of 1966. It was called the “Heritage Holiday Festival and Tomato Show.” There was a tomato fight between the Republicans and Democrats, a dog show, children and adult art shows, a queen’s pageant, and a parade.
Come to the 2023 Tomato Festival (Aug 10, 11 and 12) as we celebrate 58 years of tradition—along with great food, live entertainment, and more!

Tomato Wars: August 11, 2023
The Tomato War dates back to the first Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival in 1966. Friday, August 11 at 6:00 p.m. on Davidson Drive.
The messiest, annual event that everyone is talking about at the Reynoldsburg Tomato Fest is the TOMATO WARS!
At this must-see event, you will watch as teams of 5 go head-to-head in a dodgeball style tournament to be this year's champs. However, instead of rubber balls, they'll be throwing tomatoes!
Additionally, we'd like to invite each team to come up with a theme and to dress up in fun, family-friendly costumes.
Registration is $25 per team. Each team member will receive safety goggles to use during the event and all the tomatoes you can throw. All proceeds will be donated to the Mid-Ohio Market at HEART. Tournament participants must be at least 15 years old.
After the tournament is over, there will be a time of free play for our younger tomato tossers to get in on the action at no cost to the participants.
(No registration required. Waivers must be completed by parent/guardian on site.)
