MADISON, Wis. — There’s one week to Election Day, and Eric Hovde is setting his closing message on abortion: campaigning with the endorsement of one of the most extreme anti-abortion groups.
Hovde is ending his campaign by campaigning with the endorsement of an “unapologetically” anti-abortion group that pushes fetal personhood, wants to ban abortion from conception, calls medication abortion ‘baby pesticides,’ and compares abortion to child sacrifice.
Hovde was recently caught saying that “young college girls” won’t vote for him because they are “single issue” voters on abortion.
Hovde has said he is “totally opposed to abortion,” pushed to overturn Roe v. Wade, and would be a vote for a national abortion ban.
