At Addison Oktoberfest, enjoy a taste of the original Bavarian celebration with a purely Texan twist. For more than 35 years, people have donned dirndls and lederhosen (or have just come as they are) for four days of revelry in German culture, food, music and bier. Experience the sound of polka bands and other traditional entertainers on multiple stages in Addison Circle Park, and participate in special games for bier lovers, kids of all ages, dachshunds and more. Raise your favorite German stein and say, “Prost!”

Bier Barrel Rolling

Just roll with it! Grab a partner and take turns rolling a Paulaner bier barrel one-handed against another team. Stay between the lines, and may the best team win! Ages 21+ only.

Biergarten Bingo

Feeling lucky? Play Bingo in the Paulaner Biergarten for the chance to win a nice cold brew. Registration not required, just show up and grab a card!

Dachshund Dash

Bring yourself – and your hund – to the big tent to cheer the tiny racers on Sunday afternoon! Free to participate, advanced, online registration is required. Registration will open Saturday, August 19 and the first 100 dogs will be able to register. The winner will be awarded “The Golden Dachshund” and ability to wear the crown for one year.

Kidsgarten

Calling all kinders! Come to the Kidsgarten for free, hands-on activities. The Kidsgarten is also home to the kinder games, where kids 12 and younger can compete for fun prizes on Saturday and Sunday! The Kidsgarten is open until 9pm Thursday-Saturday, and all-day Sunday.

Sunday Hund-Day

Sunday Hund-day isn’t just for Dachshunds anymore! Bring your hund – any hund – to Addison Oktoberfest on Sunday. All dogs must be leashed and picked up after.

Tag-A-Kid

Tag-A-Kid keeps Addison Oktoberfest's smallest festival-goers safe! Children are given temporary wristbands that list their parent's contact information and get their photo taken. The system makes it easier to return a lost or separated child.
