THE 2023 ALLEY ART FESTIVAL WILL BE SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 23, 2023 IN DOWNTOWN SIOUX CITY! THE EVENT INCLUDES THE ALLEYS BETWEEN FOURTH AND SIXTH STREETS AND PIERCE AND NEBRASKA STREETS! THE FESTIVAL WILL ONCE AGAIN INCLUDE ART VENDORS, LIVE MUSIC, KIDS ALLEY, FOOD TRUCKS, BEER GARDENS AND MORE!!! 

YOU CAN BE PART OF THE MAGIC OF THE ALLEY ART FESTIVAL! 

THE MURALS

You can view murals in the alleys between 4th, 6th, Pierce and Nebraska Streets! Please choose your favorite mural for the People’s Choice Award by getting a form at the entrance gates and marking your favorite and turn it back in at the gates. 

THE MUSIC

We are very excited about the live music we have lined up for this year’s festival! There will acoustic acts performing throughout the day behind Vangarde Arts with a Main Stage at the corner of Fourth and Pierce Street. This year’s headliner is INDIGENOUS!!! They are one of top Blues Rock acts touring today! Front man, lead guitarist and vocalist Mato Nanji has been part of the Experience Hendrix Tour since 2002. He is also a big advocate for indigenous youth. Joining Indigenous on the Main Stage will be Americana act Ducharme Jones Band and Indie Rockers Banana Cramps!!!

The Alley Art Festival is back for it’s FIFTH year! The Festival is a street art festival that provides local artists with a platform to show their skills by creating murals in downtown Sioux City alleys. This year the event will fill the alleys between Pierce and Nebraska Streets and Fourth and Sixth Streets. Organized by Vangarde Arts, the Alley Art Festival reinvents urban spaces with public arts and enhances the walkability between Historic Fourth Street and Historic Pearl Street Districts. Last year over 2,000 visitors, young and old, filled the festival area and enjoyed live mural painting, a vendor area where you can browse and buy art from local artists and outstanding live music from local and national touring performers! This is your opportunity to be part of this exciting and fun, family friendly event.

ART VENDORS

Once again the Alley Art Festival is pleased to present an inspiring group of art vendors for visitors to browse and shop for beautiful artwork and hand crafted items! The vendor area will be located on Fifth Street and will be open from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. 

FOOD VENDORS

To satisfy hungry festival attendees we will again have Gobblestop and La Palapa onsite! The food trucks will be located on Fourth Street and will be on site from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. 

KID’S ALLEY

The Alley Art Festival will have many fun and creative activities for the young and young at heart! There will be hands on art projects, sidewalk chalk and a wall that kid’s can paint their own mural! Children 12 and under with a parent or guardian get FREE admission to the Festival!
