Bonjour,
This week, we are happy to present one of our teachers at AFD, Anne Vielle!   

Anne is a native French speaker from the South of France. She came almost 7 years ago to Denver to follow her husband and currently works at the University of Colorado (Aurora) as a part of the scientific staff. She is passionate about her job and likes learning every day. She loves going back to the beautiful South of France to eat, enjoy European lifestyle, and meet with her friends and parents! Her favorite weekend activities are partying with friends for any occasion, spending as much time as possible with her pets, her son and partner. She enjoys travelling to discover new places and new cultures!

Important Highlights
*The Alliance Française Office will be closed. However, you will receive a confirmation email from reception if your class will still be held. All classes that are not held on Memorial day will be postponed to the week after the last class session. If you have a question, please contact [email protected] during our normal office hours.

French Book Presale!
Looking for French books to read? Sign up for our Galapago 5 à 7 event on Thursday, May 25th, from 5 to 7 pm to get first dibs on our French book presale! During the event, there will be books on display for $5 each. All the funds will go directly to our education program. Please bring cash or venmo.We hope to see you there!

Tips and Tricks for Trips with Children!
As the school year comes to an end, don't miss this opportunity to hear a member of our community, Melissa Manassee, PhD in intercultural communication with over 2 decades of experience traveling the world with young people in tow, share her tools and tips for traveling with children and sparking their curiosity about different cultures.

Fun French Fact

Did you know that there are FOUR different holidays ALL in the month of May in France? French people often link these holidays with a weekend by taking a day in between off to make it a long 4 day weekend.
