It Came from the Attic: A Community Show and Tell Event
Brown Bag Lunch
Wednesday, December 7, at 12pm
For lovers of old objects and photographs, the joy comes more from the story behind the piece than from the actual thing. This event will be an opportunity to share an old object or photo and the story it embodies with others. The theme is Holidays – Do you have a unique vintage ornament? A meaningful family recipe? A childhood Christmas gift with a great story? We want to see them! Interested participants must contact Summer Bias at 904-261-7378 x.102 or [email protected] to sign up to share an artifact by December 2.
Attendance is free and open to the public and attendants may bring their lunch. Seating is limited on a first come, first served basis. This program is wheelchair accessible.

3rd on 3rd Temporary Exhibit Opening
Friday, December 16, at 6pm
Stories Underground highlights significant archaeological excavations on Amelia Island, from crude 19th century explorations of native burial mounds to the fruitful "Dorion Dig" on the south end in the 1980s. The exhibit will open with a lecture by UNF archaeologist Dr. Keith Ashley, who will speak about current excavations he and his students are doing on Big Talbot Island.
Attendance is $5 for museum members with a suggested donation of $10 for nonmembers. Seating is limited on a first come, first served basis. This program is wheelchair accessible.

The garden would love contributions of 6 seasonal blooming plants and 20 bags of pine bark mulch.

2022 Holiday Home Tour
Holiday Home Tour tickets are now on sale! Tickets may be purchased online or at the Museum. Tickets are $35 before November 28th, and will be $40 on November 28th and after.
Temporary Exhibit on View until December 7
“Franklintown: The South End’s African American Legacy” explores the history of Franklintown, a community of free Black Amelia Island residents which began after the Civil War and lasted until the 1970s.
