In a recent interview, NC Democratic Party Chair Anderson Clayton said on Raleigh radio station WPTF that she opposed calls for an open convention or replacing Joe Biden at the top of the Democratic ticket.

In her comments, she said that the party held a primary, theoretically giving the opportunity to others to run against Biden at that time.

However, in North Carolina, that was not the case. The Presidential primary ballot for NC Democrats featured one candidate: Joe Biden.
