The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. offers weekly storytimes for children. Storytimes meet at 10:30 am. On Mondays, Toddler Time meets for ages 0-2. On Tuesdays, Preschool Storytime meets for ages 3-5. Baby Lapsit meets on Thursdays for babies 0-18 months. Friday Fun offers stories and songs for ages 1-5. Kids Lego Robotics Club
Join the Stratford Library Children’s Dept. for a Lego Robotics workshop on Wednesday, April 9 at 4:00pm for children ages 7-12. Thanks to a grant from the Stratford Rotary Club, the Library now owns LEGO Spike Essential kits, which combine LEGO building with some coding fun! Sew A Circle Skirt
Join the Stratford Library Children’s Dept. for a Sewing class making Circle Skirts starting on Thursday, April 10 and continuing on Thursdays until finished at 4:00pm for ages 8 to adult. The class will meet 2-4 times depending on progress. Learn how to make your own pattern and sew a Circle Skirt. Bring your own fabric, other supplies will be provided. Registration is required. Book Scientists
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer Book Scientist kits for children ages 3-12. Each kit includes books and activities. Books are selected based on the age of the child participating. This month the themes will be Earth Day (April 11) and Language (April 25). Return the Library books when they are due and keep everything else! Registration is required. Seed Library Grab’n’Go
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer Seed grab ‘n’ gos for pick up on Wednesday, April 14 (Zinnias) and 28 (California Blue Bells). Vegetable seeds will be offered on Fridays April 4 (Radishes) and April 18 (Lettuce). You will receive both the seeds and instructions on how to plant. Pet Care 101 with the CT Humane Society
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer a Pet Care 101 program led by the CT Humane Society for children ages 8-12 on Tuesday, April 15 at 1:00pm. Learn the ins and outs of pet ownership, review what you already know about pets and build upon your knowledge to better understand what pets need to thrive in their environment. Participants will learn about a pet’s basic needs, costs associated with pet ownership, and which pet is the right fit for your family. Registration is required. Piano with Friends

Nutmeg Book Group
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. is offering the Nutmeg Book Group for readers in grades 4 to 6. April’s pick will be “Anybody Here Seen Frenchie?” Read the book, then join us for a book discussion on Monday, April 21 at 6pm in the Children’s Dept. Program Room. Ready for Kindergarten Grab ‘n’ Go

Junior Scientists Grab‘n’Go: Grass Heads
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer a Junior Scientists grab ‘n’ go activity for children ages 4-7 with pick-ups starting on Thursday, April 24. Children can enjoy a science experiment with the help of an adult. Experiment with growing grass in a cup. Registration is required.
