This Week at the Auburn Chamber

Happy Monday! I am happy because it seems as the worst of the storms are over, the sun has peeked its beautiful face out a few times so far today and today starts a very busy couple of weeks! I am really excited to be starting the beginning planning for Fourth of July this week, wrapping up some final details with my Leprechaun Committee for St. Patrick's Day this week and a full day of Head Shots on Wednesday with Dodge Media! Next week is even more excitement with Chamber 101, our Monthly Mixer and St. Patrick's Day!

St. Patrick's Day is getting a good reception, we only have 2 tables left for our VIP/Sponsorship Tables and maybe half of our General Admission tickets left. We are super excited that this will be such a great event. I want to thank our Early Sponsors Mountain Mandarin Festival, Roper's Jewelers, Old Town Pizza, Grocery Outlet and Springhill Suites... without you we couldn't pull this off!

Lastly, a big congratulations to the 49er Lions Club for putting together a fantastic Celebrity Chefs event last week. We were lucky enough to be one of the Chefs and we had a GREAT time. It was so fantastic to see all the wonderful businesses out there and the fantastic community out supporting. I have always LOVED this event since I was a young child and I am so glad that they continue it year after year.

St Patrick's Day Parade and Celebration - March 17th

The Auburn Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has officially voted to make the St. Patrick’s Day parade official this year.

The parade will officially end at High Street and Auburn/Folsom; however, the parade will continue into Old Town at their own risk, as we cannot close Auburn/Folsom on a Friday night.

Once through Old Town, we invite the community to the new Corned Beef and Cabbage or Vegetarian Pasta Dinner at the ARD gym following the parade. Carol’s Market of Newcastle will cater the dinner. A no-host Green Beer & Green Wine starts at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 7. Cost of dinner will be $25 per person. VIP tables of eight are available for $350.

Live music, dancing, a community sing-a-long and lots of Irish fun.

Information and tickets can be found on the Chamber Website www.auburnchamber.net/st-patricks-day or Chair Gary Gilligan at [email protected].
