Jefferson City, MO – Team members at First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site are getting crafty. Beginning in February, join them for a monthly basket weaving class to learn how to make a handcrafted basket.

All materials will be supplied. Participants are encouraged to bring drinks and snacks if desired. Class size is limited and registration is required. Please call 636-940-3322 to register.

Classes will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and vary in cost. You may sign up for either day that a particular class is offered and you may also sign up for multiple classes. The dates, type of baskets and class costs follow:

• Friday, Feb. 24 or Saturday, Feb. 25 – “Pick Your Team” Basket, $50.
• Saturday, March 25 or Sunday, March 26 – Easter Basket, $40.
• Thursday, April 6 or Friday, April 7 – Egg Basket, $45.
• Thursday, May 11 or Friday, May 12 – Round Yo-Yo Button Basket, $45.
• Saturday, June 24 or Sunday, June 25 – Fourth of July Basket, $45.
• Saturday, July 22 or Sunday, July 23 – Seashore Basket, $40.
• Thursday, Aug. 17 or Friday, Aug. 18 – Back to School Organizer, $45.
• Saturday, Sept. 9 or Sunday, Sept. 10 – Fireplace Basket, $55.
• Saturday, Oct. 21 or Sunday, Oct. 22 – Bountiful Bowl, $45.
• Thursday, Nov. 9 or Friday, Nov. 10 – Snowflake and Reindeer Ornaments, $25.

First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site is located at 200 S. Main St. in St. Charles.
