From: Bayfield Winter FestivalThere's a winter party in Bayfield and you’re invited! Join us on the south shore of Lake Superior the first weekend of March for the Bayfield Winter Festival.
Winter Festival includes many wonderful events over the weekend including the two that we host: the Long Jon Color Run and the Polar Plunge.
Our weekend events kick off with a vintage ski party and some live music and specials!

A vintage party at St James Social to kick the weekend off! Gear up and hang out at the Social in your finest vintage ski gear as a benefit to Mt. Ashwabay!

Our main event! Saturday is when we really kick things off! Go for a colorful run in the morning, enjoy a plunge in the cold lake in the afternoon, stop by the Bistro for some comedy improv in the evening, or plan your own day!
Community Yoga - Wild Rice Retreat
Free - 9am to 10am
Retreat to the woods for some mindful yoga on Saturday morning. If you haven't been to the retreat center before you're in for a treat with stunning views and beautiful architecture to place you in your best yoga mindset!
Nordic Ski Lessons - Mt. Ashwabay
Free - 10am to 12pm
Have you always wanted to find a way to appreciate the extensive trail network up here but don't know how to start? Worry no more! Ashwabay is proud to offer free Nordic Ski Lessons to all who want them! Saturday Morning, 10-noon at Ashwabay
Brownstone Trail Hike - ?Landmark Conservancy
Free - 10:30am to 12pm
Even if you've hiked the Brownstone Trail before there's always something more to appreciate in these wonderful woods of ours! Meet at Wild Rice Retreat for this group hiking event
Long Jon Color Run - 10am to 11am
Cost: $20-$50
Join us at the Bayfield Pavilion for the Long Jon Color Run, a short family friendly fun-run full of colors. A great way to get your family moving and create winter memories together!

Polar Bear Oracle Cards - 11am to 4pm
Cost: $10/Card
Unsure about the future? Need some guidance from the cards of a polar bear? Stop by Crystalline Healing downtown for a card reading from 11-4! A portion of the proceeds from the day's card readings goes to the Bayfield Rec Center.
Polar Plunge - 2pm to 4pm
Cost: $50
Lake Superior is waiting for you to take the plunge! Sign up for this year's Polar Plunge to support the Bayfield Rec Center or plunge as a group to raise additional funds for your team or non-profit. ?

If you've never seen improv comedy before, it's kind of like when everyone around you is in perfect sync. Building upon one another's jokes again and again until you're laughing so hard you're crying! If you haven't experienced that before, go see Lost In The Woods improv at Mannypenny Bistro Saturday night, you won't regret it!
Winter Camping
Free - 5:00pm
Camping in the winter is one of the most peaceful things you can do. The snow around you muffles sound, the lights around you sparkle and glow in the snow, and the rosy glow of cheeks shows joy on anyone's face! Winter Camping Experience is required for this event.
