BIG NEWS REGARDING ART WALK EASTHAMPTON!

After thoughtful consideration, ECA has made a decision to change the day + time of Art Walk. We arrived at this decision based on a community survey, in-depth feedback, and open public discussions. 

Beginning on Saturday May 4th, Art Walk will move to the First Saturday of the Month, from 4-7pm. 

Please note - this is a NEW DAY and a NEW TIME.

Art Walk will continue on the Second Thursday of the month until then with events this coming Thursday March 14th and on Thursday April 11th, both from 5-8pm. 

Some background + context regarding this change:

Easthampton City Arts (ECA) has worked in partnership with several Art Walk venues in recent years to identify the best day of the month for this long-standing and beloved community arts event -- all in an attempt to coordinate our efforts to meet the changing needs of an ever-evolving community. The City of Easthampton has grown and changed significantly since Art Walk began. As we all know, there's a lot more going on in Easthampton and in our surrounding communities than there used to be. Additionally, Covid has had an impact on longstanding events and traditions as well. 

ECA has also received feedback from our community members through surveys, emails, and public meetings – about what people enjoy, find challenging, and want to see changed. The ECA Coordinating Committee has since processed the findings, gathered additional feedback from Art Walk venues, and has made this decision based on all we learned. 

And, while we recognize that no one single day of the month can meet each person's preferences, we heard the community loud and clear that weekends are greatly preferred over weekday nights -- and that earlier in the day would be helpful as well. And so, beginning in May 2024, Art Walk Easthampton will begin to take place on the First Saturday of the Month from 4-7pm (and not from 5-8pm has it has previously been).
