Bishop, Simmons Tell Reporters Harris-Walz Ticket Doubles Down on Dangerously Liberal Agenda

Government and Politics

Earlier this week, NCGOP Chairman Jason Simmons and Congressman Dan Bishop, the Republican nominee for Attorney General, held a press call with media outlets to discuss the weak, failed, and dangerously liberal agenda of Kamala Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz.

Comments from NCGOP Chairman Jason Simmons:

"With the choice of Tim Walz as her running mate, she has now exposed her true liberal nature and embraced the full left progressive agenda in that pick. What we have seen in Tim Walz is an individual who has failed the people of Minnesota time and time again. He has failed their economy. He has failed their public education system, and more importantly, he has failed to uphold law and order and especially public safety of that state.

The Harris Walz is a progressive dream and would be America's nightmare. We look forward to continuing to highlight President Trump and Senator JD Vance's America First agenda that will continue to restore America's standing in the world, restore our southern border, and especially restore our economy."

Comments from Congressman Dan Bishop:

"Kamala Harris is already the most radical presidential nominee in history. And she doubled down by selecting Tim Walz, the Governor of Minnesota, who is as far left as anyone who's ever contemplated running for the top two offices in America.

We have, in addition, the pattern that we see in Kamala Harris as vice president is very troubling, there's always a pretense of grand responsibility and accomplishment, but no action.

Take the border chaos as an example and people want to quibble over the terminology of border czar, she was imparted responsibility and that has been an enormous disaster that worsens life in America every day.

She was the tie-breaking vote on the American Rescue Plan and the Inflation Reduction Act, tie-breaking votes that resulted in massive inflation that the American people continue to live with every day. Massive impacts on ordinary cost of living, on the ability to get into home ownership, the ability to carry on business activity.

Finally, you finally have denial of responsibility. Tim Walz withheld the National Guard from Minneapolis when rioters burned and imposed $500 million of damages. Harris in that same set of events promoted bail funds for rioters, which bailed out now convicted rapists, assaulters, and murderers out of jail.

I think Tim Walz's comments that we've seen recorded, sum it up. He says, one person's socialism is another person's neighborly mess.

That is conceiving a political system in America on terms we've never contemplated before. We've never seen in a major party candidate before, and Americans aren't for it. That's the reason that they're going to reelect Donald Trump 47th President of the United States."
