From: Humane Society of Broward CountyThe Humane Society of Broward County invites pet parents to bring their special furry friends for a Blessing of the Animals, in recognition of the Feast of Saint Francis, the patron saint of animals. The Blessing will take place on Sunday, October 6th from 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. outside in the Memorial Garden located at the far east side at the Humane Society of Broward County located at 2070 Griffin Road, just west of I-95. The Franciscan Friars of the Parish of Saints Francis & Clare will perform the Blessing. Pets of all kinds are welcome, but PLEASE be sure to have your pet in a secure carrier or on a leash. For more information, please call 954-266-6848 - no need to RSVP. For anyone with special needs, Father Joe will do a second blessing in the parking lot at 3:30.
The Humane Society of Broward County is a private, non-profit organization supported by donations from people and companies who want to help us help the animals.
