Waukesha, WI - The Bridges Library System is pleased to announce newly scheduled recording sessions for the StoryCorps Oral History Project. This initiative allows local library staff to record and preserve meaningful conversations, stories, and memories of residents in partnership with StoryCorps, a national oral history project.
“We are honored to be part of this special project in our library system,” said Angela Meyers, Inclusive Services Coordinator at the Bridges Library System. “Everyone has a unique story to share, and these conversations are a great way to connect with others and preserve special memories or important events. They are a truly powerful experience.”
The StoryCorps sessions are open to anyone who wishes to share a conversation with a family member, friend or coworker. All topics are welcome; personal adventures, cherished moments, lessons learned, or reminiscing on daily life. All stories are recorded with a trained facilitator and can be kept private or be added to the StoryCorps Archive and at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.
