January 20,2023
7:00pm: Vocal Point

Vocal Point, Brigham Young University’s renowned nine-man a capella group, combines harmony, humor, and remarkable vocal percussion into a thrilling showcase. With a wide range of vocal possibilities—and seeming impossibilities—these crowd-pleasers cover it all: rock, pop, country, jazz, hymns, and R&B. Each Vocal Point member generates musical ability, creativity, and stage presence—a combination which adds up to skillful and spirited performances. Vocal Point appeared on NBC’s hit show The Sing-Off, where they had a top-5 finish. These talented students continue to reach fans around the world and are preparing for an international tour to the Philippines in the summer of 2023.

7:00pm: Theatre Ballet

Classical ballet’s beloved story of love, redemption, and forgiveness, Swan Lake, takes center stage in BYU Theatre Ballet’s hour-long, family-friendly production. This adaptation will run without intermissions or pauses. Brigham Young University’s top ballet company, Theatre Ballet, originates in the Department of Dance in the College of Fine Arts and Communications.

2:00pm and 7:00pm: Young Ambassadors

Their new show, Thank You For The Music, is a celebration of the great musical hits of radio, stage and screen. The BYU Young Ambassadors present the songs by which we live our lives. Whether humming along in our car or screaming aloud in the shower, the songs of the radio, tv, movies, and the broadway stage have made us, in part, who we are. Presented in a fast-paced and tender-hearted musical escapade, fit for the whole family, Thank You For The Music mixes a touch of the classics by ABBA, Whitney Houston, Journey, “Guys and Dolls,” “Wicked,” and “Newsies” with a touch of the new from “Waitress,” “Hadestown,” Ed Sheeran, Disney, and more.

7:00pm: Noteworthy

Noteworthy, one of BYU’s top a cappella ensembles, is comprised of nine powerhouse female vocalists. With a varied repertoire including pop, rock, jazz, hip-hop and spiritual genres, Noteworthy has something for everyone. In 2007, Noteworthy was crowned champion of the prestigious International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA), becoming only the 2nd all-female ensemble to win the competition in it’s near 35-year history. Noteworthy has since appeared on NBC’s hit show The Sing-Off, released 7 albums, and become a YouTube sensation with over 70 million views and counting. Above all, Noteworthy strives to empower women & young people to discover their own unique identities & divine nature through the power of vocal music.

2:00pm and 7:00pm: Ballroom Dance Company

The BYU Ballroom Dance Company is recognized both nationally and internationally as a treasured and unique university dance ensemble. Their new show, Come Alive, is a spectacular show that presents ballroom dance in a theatrical environment with a contemporary point of view. Its innovative choreography is compelling, engaging and just plain fun! Audiences will be fascinated as couples dance a romantic waltz and will feel the energy as the company moves to the infectious rhythms of Latin America. Additional surprises throughout the performance make Come Alive a family-friendly show that should not be missed.

2:00pm and 7:00pm: Living Legends

Celebrating the native cultural heritage of North America, South America, and the South Pacific, Living Legends presents a vibrant spectacle of energy, music, costume, and dance. As they take the stage, talented performers of native descent capture the rhythms of Polynesia, portray the fascinating legends of Native American people, and dazzle the senses with the energy of Latin America. Both the lavish attire and the intricate choreography are authentic representations of the showcase cultures.

March 11,2023
2:00pm and 7:00pm: International Folk Dance Ensemble

The International Folk Dance Ensemble will present Journey: Reflections, a 90-minute voyage of dance and music that explores the heartbeat of the world’s cultures. Journey: Reflections entertains with Irish hard shoe, American clogging, Ukrainian Hopak, Indian bhangra, and much more. Since 1964, the International Folk Dance Ensemble has represented the United States and American culture at folk dance festivals throughout the world.
