From: City of SedonaOn March 1, 2023, the city of Sedona will add a third park and ride location at 905 Upper Red Rock Loop Rd. to serve the trailhead route portion of the Sedona Shuttle. The new lot at the intersection of State Route (SR) 89A and Red Rock Loop Road will offer free parking and free shuttle service to the Dry Creek Vista and Mescal trailheads. The Sedona Shuttle will continue to serve existing park and ride lots at Posse Grounds and 1294 SR 179.
Also between March 1 and April 17, 2023, the Sedona Shuttle will begin its expanded spring break schedule. During this busy time, the Sedona Shuttle will operate seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. After spring break, the shuttle will return to its regular Thursday through Sunday service. Keep in mind that the Soldiers Pass and Cathedral Rock trailheads are closed during the hours of shuttle service operation.
“The Sedona Shuttle is an important part of our strategy for managing the volume of visitors who come to the area during spring break. Having daily service during this six-week period will improve safety and reduce illegal parking around the major trailheads,” said city of Sedona City Manager Karen Osburn.
From March 1, 2023 on, the Sedona Shuttle will provide the following routes:
- From the West SR 89A Park and Ride (905 Upper Red Rock Loop Rd.):
Route 11 to Dry Creek Vista and Mescal trailheads
- From the Posse Grounds Park and Ride (20 Carruth Dr.):
Route 12 to Dry Creek Vista Trailhead
Route 14 to Soldier Pass Trailhead
- From the North SR-179 Park and Ride (1294 SR 179):
Route 15 to Cathedral Rock and Little Horse trailheads
