New County Grant Program for Small Businesses

The Alameda County Small Business Recovery Grant Program launched on Monday, October 10. The program is providing funding to small businesses in the county that were negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible brick-and-mortar businesses can apply a one-time grant of $10,000 and eligible home-based businesses can apply for $5,000. Grant funds will not require repayment.

The program was authorized by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors when it appropriated American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds in response to and recovery from the public health emergency and negative economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The program is open to all eligible small businesses (1 to 25 employees) and is administered by the East Bay Economic Development Alliance (East Bay EDA) and the Alameda County Community Development Agency’s Economic & Civic Development Department.

Please visit acbusiness.org to learn about eligibility, read the FAQs, and more. The grant period closes on October 31, 2022. Program materials are available in multiple languages.
