We are proud to announce that last week the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO) awarded the City of Beaumont with the Operating Budget Excellence Award for Fiscal Year 2022-2023.

This budget award recognizes local governments that display excellence in budgeting, transparency, accountability, and communication to enhance public trust. This is achieved through the annual budget documents that are produced and made available to citizens and subsequently evaluated by CSMFO volunteer reviewers. The City of Beaumont received the recognition, along with 94 other California cities, however this is the first time the City of Beaumont has received this award. In December of 2022, the City of Beaumont received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.  The Beaumont City Council and Staff are proud of these recognitions and the continued work towards fiscal responsibility, as well as prioritizing transparency and trust within our community. Both of these awards are further confirmation of the great work being done by our Council and Staff. As Beaumont continues to be, a City Elevated.
